FAQ

Does your server know my master password/key?

No, the key material used to construct the AES password is behind an anchortag (#) which never leaves your browser. You can find more information in wikipedia (URI fragment) and in the official RFC RFC1808. Ontop of that, you can add your own password to further protect the master password/key used to encrypt the data.

Is this file or message uploaded to the server in plaintext?

No, never. Whether you choose to use password or not, the message(or file) is always encrypted with AES256 inside your browser. The encrypted data is then uploaded & stored on Amazon S3. You can verify this by inspecting the network traffic in browser Developer Tool.
